SHIPPING UPDATE AFTER QUAKE: The rumbles continue from the aftershocks but the couriers are all back on track and orders are now getting through on time throughout New Zealand and overseas.
The only delays are if you are in an area in Christchurch which is badly affected and it is not safe for the couriers to drive there. This includes some eastern suburbs and central Chrischurch. If you are in a badly affected area and you want something, let us know and we can discuss the best way to get you your goods.

Rest assured we are OK and still trading after the latest 6.3 earthquake. Our thoughts are out there with all fellow Cantabrians and although we have been busy helping family, friends and others who need help. All orders will still be processed and dispatched in a timely manner. Please allow up to an extra 1-2 days for deliveries as couriers are currently prioritising incoming freight as Christchurch is running low on many supplies.

Rest assured our business has survived the recent earthquake in Canterbury and we are continuing business as usual. The Folden has solden, and sadly like many NZ'ers I could not afford to be the lucky winner of the famous Trade Me auction. However at least it's gone to a great city - Christchurch, where I will hopefully be able to check it out in real life. What a great car, even if it does have a Ford attached to the front of it. Well done Robert and Jono, you guys Rock!
 Now that winter is almost upon us, it's a great time to sort out those old roof racks for getting up the mountain this year. As you may or may not be aware the Auckland City Council is up to its dirty tricks again in trying to get rid of the Speedway at Western Springs.
You may recall all the drama in 2004 when there was the march and also the petition that raised approx 56,000 signatures in support of the speedway.
The current council has decided to invalidate that petition that was accepted unanimously by the previous council. That means we have to start all over again.
The Western Springs Speedway Club has an online petition going. Please go to the link below and add your name - takes less than a minute.

 After camping in the rain for a week with 3 kids I have decided this summer is not a happening thing. Thankfully on our drive home the rain finally stopped and I could get to the Rangiora Muscle Car show. In its 20th year with a claimed 1500 street machines and Muscle Cars on show it certainly makes for an ideal bogan hangout, only problem was I couldn't find the pies! There were some great cars on show and I now have a few more ideas for my next project. I can't wait to get it started but for now the R33 must suffice.
January and February definitely see a lot of car events happening around the country so there is no excuse to stay home. Looking forward to the southern V4 & Rotary show down here in the south 20th and 21st Feb, should be a great weekend.
Robert and Jono from The Rock radio station have caused great debate with their decision to go ahead and build a Folden. Half Holden, half Ford, yet all machine is being voted for by the nation. So far the front is going to be a late 60's Mustang and the Holden rear end is currently open for votes. Big Ben pies and NZV8 magazine are proudly supporting the build. I myself am a true Holden fan but fully support these guys in what they are doing - good on you for giving it a go.

 Mount Panorama comes alive this weekend with the 2009 Bathurst 1000. It is the ultimate Ford vs Holden battle weekend which allows guys from all over NZ to do nothing except drink beer in front of the Plasma while having a few mates over - go the boys in red! We have loads of stock for the ultimate Ford or Holden home bar but please order it before Thursday to ensure it gets to you on time.
We now have over 300 suppliers on board thanks to a lot of hard work over the last few months. This means that we now have access to most items in the automotive industry. It is impossible for us to stock and list all this product on our website because our brains are likely to explode, so if you want something please ask us and we will do our best to source it at a great price for you. It's going to take us a while to remember who has got what and to wade through all the supplier manuals but rest assured you should get it at a very competitive price as we have had some great rates negotiated.

The amphibious Toyota Townace van "Roofliss" was listed on Trade Me last week after the mighty 10 hour cook strait crossing. It has now sold for $9100 check out its specs and entertaining Q&A's on its auction listing. Good on you guys, you are a true inspiration. I can't wait to see your next mean project.

 Return of the master Michael Schumacher should make the forthcoming Grand Prix an exciting watch. Although the 40 year old German hasn't raced in the formula one since 2006, he is keen to take up the wheel again after the injured Felipe Massa has had to step back. Showing commitment to the challenge, Schumacher has already lost 3kg and is working on his stamina. He is also using a simulator to get familiar with the current F60's controls. Time will tell if it will all be worth the effort - we'll be watching.
On that note, Felipe Massa the injured driver for Ferrari is lucky to be alive after fracturing his skull in a qualifying accident in Hungary. Doctors say he is on the mend and now recovering at home, all full credit to that helmet and harness.  We have a few great harnesses on offer click here for more details.
Speaking of the old guys making it back on the scene the old school rockers AC/DC are making it to NZ next year and will surely bring back some decent tunes on the radio. Those of you who managed to get tickets - ROCK ON!

Michael Jackson Passed away. Whether you liked him or not, there is no argument that he has made a major impact on the music scene and the music we listen to today. I wonder how many sightings of his moon walking shadow are going to be reported.

 General Motors. Wow. Its spiralling downhill slide may have come to an end, or at least be caught at the bottom by the US government thank god. I bet all those Holden fans out there like me were pleased to hear that Holden Australia and NZ are continuing business as usual. Even better news is that Holden will play an important part of the new GM when it reforms. I guess there is something to be said about living down under.
 Speaking of down under, the ski fields are all opening early because there has been so much snow. Mt Hutt, Taranaki, Ruapehu and Coronet Peak all have ski fields open already. There has been a heap of snow dumped over the country in recent weeks and I think much of it missed the mountains, it landed in many odd places like Dannevirke. This year has been racing by, it's only one week until the Clipsal 500, less than a month after that the streets of Hamilton come alive with the Hamilton 400. Not to mention Daylight Savings Ending 5th of April and then it's Easter.

 Well, she has been a hot one the last few weeks almost everywhere in the country. If you don't like the heat you will have to go and hide down in Invercargill that's the one place in NZ where a good day is no cold southerly blowing and the temperature just makes double figures. They sure must breed em tough down there!
With the weather so warm, it is very important to make sure your car is staying cool. Check your fluids regularly, make sure you have no leaks and keep an eye on those temperature needles and warning lights. If you have been thinking of improving or overhauling your cooling system, either water or oil, now is the perfect time. A few dollars spent can save you thousands of dollars later.

January and February are loaded with summer events so there is no excuse for staying home and keeping your wheels hidden in the shed - unless of course it doesn't go. Summer is a great time for getting out and cruzing for any car enthusiast and many non car enthusiasts too. There's always lots of sounds blasting, engines revving, Bodies shining and my personal favourite, V8's purring. Make sure you dont get left behind and get your car into shape now.
On the home front, Christmas is over but things have gone bananas. Orders are flooding in and the poor courier vans are leaving with their rear end dragging along the ground and no they haven't been lowered. Our warehouse has been re-racked with some ingenuitive space saving ideas so we can now hold more stock and a bigger range.
Well it's less than a month until Christmas - my how time flies.  Well, the old website has crashed and burned - bit like some peoples cars I know. It was time for a major overhaul and a simple grease and lube just did not cut it any more.
We will be introducing a heap more features as they are developed over time but needed to get the engine running with our great range of products on board first.
We have now teamed up with a great new web developer Hotcode Designs which has brought us to you as you see us now. The old Legacy has been upgraded to a Skyline and with a few more magic fingers and features we should make it to a GTR status.
